Lets Get Sketchy DT Reveal - December Week 1

Well the festive month is upon us and I have created a Xmas layout of my son and mum using the mood board and sketch by Brenshevia

I have used paper from Fancy Pants - Christmas Magic and the strips behind the photo are from My Minds Eye - All is Bright.

I adhered strips of paper cut to the shapes in the sketch in the centre of the paper and then applied texture crackle paste through a 7 dots demask stencil and whilst still wet sprinkled with red glitter.

Once dry I have sprayed with Mica Powder - Green Opal and Gold Opal  (loving these products at the moment!)

The photo mat was created with pullouts from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Christmas accessory sheet.  I added a Prima Christmas bead stem and some assorted flowers from my stash.  Gold embosssed the 2 Crafty chipboard title and added some white gesso flicks.

Lets Get Sketchy Design Team Reveal

As we inch closer to December we have Team A's last reveal for November.  I loved the simplicity of this sketch.  I have created a layout of my son.  I love this photo as he is so relaxed and was not aware I was taking it.

I started by covering a piece of cardboard with torn up paper that I got out of an old dictionary using Deco Page.  Once dried I covered it with a light coat of gesso.

Using Lindy Stamp Gang Sprays I created the background colours. I have used Prima Donna Purple, Hi Maintenance Magenta, and Delphinium Turquoise.

I have then stamped randomly with Kaisercraft Stamps - numbers, film edged and sketchy stamps.

The chipboard is from Dusty Attic and inked with White Prima Chalk Ink.

Second Reveal at Deer and Fawn

Welcome back.

This week is my second reveal at Deer and Fawn.  I have created a layout using the colours and softness of the mood board to create this heritage layout of my Great Aunt when she was a young lady winning the May Queen contest in England.

I have used paper from Maja Design that I coated with clear gesso then used a Crafters Workshop stencil, Prima Art Basic Light Paste and Ken Oliver Colour Burst Powder - Violet.  Before this dried I applied some fine purple glitter.

I then applied a variety of stamps from Prima and Kaisercraft.

Behind the photo I have fussy cut flowers from Graphic 45 paper, and placed with flowers from Petaloo, prima and iamroses.

The chipboard is from Imaginarium and the title from Dusty Attic.  These have been embossed with Stampendous Powder - Shabby Pink.

Finishing touches with Creative Expressions micro beads and Prima glass beads and a lace doilee or two.

Deer and Fawn Guest Design Reveal

Hi everyone,

This month I was privileged to be a quest designer at Deer and Fawn.  I had a ball with their awesome inspiration image.  I have made two projects - a layout and a canvas.

The week I will reveal my canvas and next Tuesday my layout:

My son and his girlfriend have just moved into their own place and I made this for them.  I took the bird on the image as well as the colours as inspiration.

I started with Dylusions paints - London Blue and Lemon Zest.  I then applied Pebeo Paint "356 - Voilet Blue Irridescent"through a squares stencil by Prima.  I then used a Crafters Workshop stencil with texture paste and the Pebeo Paint as well as a Tim Holtz Faded Dots Stencil and Whipped Spackle.

I stamped, cut and inked the Tim Holtz Crazy Birds using Water Colour paints, white paint pen and Black Pitt pen.  Once dried I applied a coat of dimensional magic over the entire birds.

OCTOBER DUAL CHALLENGE

This month Scrap Around the World and Lindy Stamp Gang have awesome challenges and I have created one layout for them both.  This photo, taken by my son, is of graffiti in Melbourne.

I then applied stamps from Kaisercraft and Tim Holtz.  The prima fringe was coloured with Lindy Stamp Gang Hi Maintenance Purple, and final touches include a couple of flowers and Prima Mechanicals and a few white splashes.
